Patton @ 4 months old

We did not plan on keeping a boy from this litter, however, we did not plan on the promising results of this litter. Our NEW fawn show hopeful beamed from this litter! We were already a step ahead of our last fawn boy as Patton LOVED to go for car rides!

The owner of his daddy was amazed at how much he reminds them of daddy, also Patton (CH. Rochil's High Command). This boy had an attitude AND a "mouth" which was barking something many times throughout the day.  Alas, Patton had a full but short-lived life.

His brother was diagnosed with osteosarcoma while we attended the last National Specialty in Wisconsin.  His owners opted for amputation of the culprit leg, however, he died a few months later from a possible blood clot subsequent to the surgery.

Patton enjoyed training for future shows, loved going for car rides and the attention he got with his gorgeous looks.  We bred him to our girl, Lacie (from which we kept our girl Precious-2).  Shortly thereafter he developed a limp, and then came thinning of the leg which denoted he had not been using it as much as it appeared -- off to the vet's we went.  X-ray revealed sadness:  Osteosarcoma!  The gave him about three months with the appearance of the bone.  Thankfully, we had more than a year; but sadly he died a young boy in the early winter of 2004.

This sadness was the end to my breeding desires.  This, and his brother, were two of the sweetest babies you would ever want to meet.

Rest well my baby!
